The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome embodies classic Parisian luxury in every way.

Property
The hotel has every amenity a premium guest could want. The hotel restaurant is Michelin-starred. The hotel is rectangle-shaped with an open courtyard in the middle. During our stay in December, a winter-themed bar with a ski lodge had been constructed outside in between reception and the restaurant.
Below the ground level, a spa with sauna treats guests to a large jacuzzi. Cold waters are waiting in a refrigerator inside.
Suite
Different from a traditional suite with separated bedroom and living areas, the room was one large space. The two things that made it a suite were the expanded living space and very large bathroom suite.
Living Room
The living room area of the room consisted of a plush chair and sofa with a low coffee table. Due to my World of Hyatt Globalist status a bottle of red wine, salted nuts and cookies for our five-year-old daughter were waiting for us in the room.
The television was built into a mirror over a fireplace, around the corner was the mini-fridge. One small frustration was that the refrigerator was spring-loaded meaning that guests can’t take items out and store their own items. We got creative and found homes for some charcuterie we found at a local market.
The windows open (be careful with children.) Around the property and throughout the room touches of Degas are placed on handles, walls and mirrors.
Bed
As expected, high thread count sheets and a very comfortable bed await guests after a long day visiting the city of lights. Prior to our arrival, the hotel placed a rollaway next to our king-size bed for our young daughter. This reflects a sense of the luxury of the hotel, not due to the quality of the rollaway bed, but rather the thoughtfulness of the staff to ensure our daughter had a place of her own to sleep.
On either side of the bed, two bottles of Evian were waiting for us and replaced each night at turn down service.
Bathroom
The bathroom suite was nearly as large as the rest of the room. Separated by a pocket door, the bathroom utilizes a double vanity and three-meter mirror, large glass shower, and a soaking tub. A dressing room was also part of the bathroom suite which had space for a dozen large pieces of luggage filed vertically.
Upon request, staff will happily unpack your things and move you into the suite.
World of Hyatt Service and Benefits
As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I enjoyed complimentary breakfast, late checkout, bonus points, and an upgrade to a suite.
Perhaps more than anywhere else in the world, the breakfast at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome reveals just how much of a benefit Globalist status can provide. The American breakfast is available by room service (a rarity at many Hyatt hotels) and featured the following:
- Soft scrambled eggs
- Potatoes
- Bacon/Sausage
- Cold-pressed juice
- Coffee/cappucino/espresso/tea
- Fresh Fruit
- Pancake/French Toast
- Baguette
- Sterling silver utensils and fine linens
The cost for non-Globalist members for our breakfast for three would have been more than €150 before tax and tip. We enjoyed it (or options similar) each day of our stay.

Value
The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome is one of the most expensive properties in the Hyatt family. Average costs range between €750-1,000/nt. Frequent visitors might find better value elsewhere, but at least once, distinguished guests should treat themselves to a stay at this property.
For World of Hyatt members, the property is a Category 7 (the highest traditional level.) Award nights cost 30,000/nt for a standard room. This provides a value of 2.75¢ to 3.25¢/point, well above Suites and Lobbies valuation of 2¢/point. World of Hyatt members should spend points for their stay. Globalists find even more value with added perks like breakfast.
